Bhartiya Vidya MandirSr. Sec. School Kitchlu Nagar Ludhiana commemorated the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi. Anecdotes of Gandhi ji’s life especially his role in the struggle for freedom were mentioned in speeches and songs. Giving a taste of co-operation and a sense of involvement the students participated in a rally on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Mass singing of song – Sabarmati Ke Sant made the students familiar with how Gandhi ji heralded a new era of freedom for Indians. Going a step forward with Gandhi ji’s dream of Swachh Bharat all the students took a pledge to keep their country Swachh and sangunitedly with full feel – Swachh Bharat ka irada, irada kar liya humne. A hand on hand movement with selfless labor was also visualized in the school premises for keeping the school gardens and play grounds clean by the students. Bulletin board decoration competition on Swachh Bharat displayed artistic and beautiful amalgamation of waste material.
