Bidding adieu to winter season and welcoming spring season, long awaited bonfire festival of Lohri was celebrated with utmost joy at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana. Upbeating the mood of festivity the students were seen relaxing and enjoying Punjabi songs and tappe. Creative and literary activities like Declamation Contest, Drawing and Poem recitation introduced all with the legends associated with Lohri. On this cheerful festival of Punjab the students displayed the great grandeur of the Day by demanding Lohri. Because of the harmful effects of the China Dor, the students were messaged not to use the same for flying kites.
Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of the Maker of Modern India-Swami Vivekanand Ji, the students paid homage to this great leader in a befitting manner. Familiarizing all with the key figure in the introduction of Indian Philosophy, Declamation contest on “Arise, Awake, Stop Not till the Goal is Achieved” was organized. Speeches on the role of the great saint in taking high the status of Indian Philosophy soaked all in the life and teachings of Swami Ji as a great reformer.
Principal Mrs. Neelam Mittar congratulated all on this festival of togetherness and motivated the students to follow the teachings of Swami Vivekanand Ji.
