Calling upon the students to save soil from degradation and work for environment conservation, Volunteers of Isha Foundation spread awareness about the increasing plight of soil regarding Mitti Bachao at BVM Kitchlu Nagar ,Ludhiana.Declinig soil health is a serious problem, which is to be attended urgently. Volunteers campaigned to treat the soil as a living eco-system by returning organic matter to the soil on a continual basis. Raising awareness how fast the soil was being destroyed and what was needed to stem ,Strategies to improve good soil structure , water holding capacity and protecting the soil from erosion were highlighted.
