Focusing on urgency of population issues on World Population Day , Students of BVM Kitchlu Nagar launched awareness campaign during Declamation Contest based on-Big family brings big problems,More People, Less Food , Increasing population- toxic to the Earth’s Environment. Discussing Challenges associated with dire consequences of phenomenal population growth, As even the bare necessities of life are being denied in our country , population control was taken as crying need of the hour for combating numerous problems of poverty, unemployment, misery and frustration. Scaremongering results of high graphed population were pointed such as deepening already acute inequalities, shutting down health care systems, chronic poverty, illiteracy, and health disparities or denying adequate resources for all with decreasing opportunities for progress and adding barriers that stand in its way. Giving importance to become aware of the effects of overpopulation on the environment and development alarming facts based on current data were also released.
