​BVM Kitchlu Nagar holds Nutritional Awareness - Building Healthy Life Style Workshop on World Food Day « 16/Oct/2024

With overarching vision of curbing food wastage and understanding the immense challenge of obtaining zero hunger target , Students from BVM kitchlu Nagar joined hands and showed their commitment to achieve this aim during celebration of World Food Day. A workshop on Achchi Bhookh (Good Hunger) was  organized  focusing on educating students about healthy eating habits and the importance of nutritious food. The session emphasized the need to differentiate between junk food cravings and real hunger. Workshop on Nutritional Awareness cum Achchi Bhookh was led by Dr Shaveta Batta, Chief Dietician From DMCH sharing tips on how to develop a balanced diet, proper meal timing and the significance of eating fresh and natural foods. Interactive activities, such as quizzes and food demos, kept the students engaged, while teachers encouraged them to make healthier food choices to ensure their physical and mental well-being. Resolved to work together for food security and nutrition, improving  sustainability of food system and hygienic measures, Students' network kept on disseminating information on Good food - Good Health. Scaling up awareness moves by denying practice of overloading plates , tossing into dustbins and promoting utilisation before expiry date, smart use of leftover food , cook with zero waste and preserve well were the most useful ideas shared by listing healthy food items, advertising nutritious food products and developing taglines for favourite foods , the students emancipated  expressions and spurted  thoughts.
