Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar observed Poshan Abhiyaan with a focus on fostering healthy eating habits and overall well-being among students. The initiative highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, mindful food choices, and sustainable living for lifelong health and development.
Students enthusiastically engaged in a series of play-way and experiential activities including Colouring Splash, designing food-related pyramids, and presenting Rainbow Plates featuring colourful fruits and vegetables along with their nutritional significance. Class V students organized a vibrant Millet Mela, promoting the nutritional value of grains such as jowar, bajra and ragi.
A Kitchen Garden Activity enabled students to plant methi, coriander etc fostering habits of sustainability and healthy living, while Label Detection and Ingredient Analysis sensitized them towards informed and mindful food choices.
Principal Mrs. Ranju Mangal remarked that sound nutrition forms the bedrock of a vibrant and resilient life, and emphasized that nurturing healthy habits from an early age empowers children to make informed choices, thereby paving the way for a healthier and more sustainable future.
