Demonstrating their commitment to environmental conservation, the NCC cadets of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir ,Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana, organised a plantation drive on the school campus today.
NCC cadets participated in the drive with great enthusiasm and planted over varied saplings, including neem, peepal, amla and various flowering plants. The initiative aimed to create awareness about climate change, reduce pollution and contribute towards making the school campus greener and healthier.
The cadets also pledged to nurture and care for the saplings and motivate others to contribute towards environmental protection. The programme concluded with the watering of the newly planted saplings and an awareness talk by the NCC officers.
Appreciating the initiative, Principal Mrs. Ranju Mangal lauded the NCC cadets emphasising that planting trees is an investment in the well-being of future generations and encouraged everyone to contribute towards creating a clean, green and sustainable environment.
