Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana, organised a thought-provoking Anti-Bullying Awareness Session for class 11 students, providing a meaningful platform to deliberate upon an issue that can leave deep and often invisible imprints on young minds. The session was conducted by Dr. Navpreet Bhathal, Psychologist, BVM Group of Schools, who encouraged students to perceive bullying not merely as misconduct, but as a serious impediment to emotional well-being and harmonious relationships.
Through engaging discussions and relatable situations, students explored physical, verbal, social and cyberbullying, along with their psychological repercussions. They were sensitised to recognise such behaviour, respond with composure and seek timely support rather than suffer in silence.
The session particularly highlighted the role of empathetic bystanders, urging students to extend solidarity to the vulnerable and refrain from normalising hurtful behaviour. Values of inclusivity, compassion, mutual respect and responsible digital citizenship were also reinforced.
Vice Principal Mr. Rohit S. Bedi disseminated the school’s disciplinary norms, urging students to uphold them with utmost diligence and strict compliance.
Principal Mrs. Ranju Mangal emphasised that “the true measure of an educated mind is not merely what it knows, but how it makes others feel.” She urged students to become vigilant guardians of one another’s dignity, reminding them that a moment of ridicule can leave a lasting scar, while a moment of kindness can restore confidence and hope.
