An educationally awareness session on ‘Celebrate eco- friendly Diwali and maintain beauty of mother earth’ was experienced by Parents' Community of BVM, Kitchlu Nagar, Ludhiana. Resonating to celebrate healthy and pollution free Diwali, Mrs. Geeta Verma ,keynote speaker of the session apprised all with the need to celebrate pollution free Diwali through a documentary pointing them the harmful and hazardous impacts of crackers and synthetic sweets. Lighting earthen lamps and diyas , use of natural colours for rangoli making, use of jute bags in place of plastic bags, was also stressed.
They were inspired to set new trends by gifting plants and donating goods and sweets to the underprivileged ones.
While discussing principles of human behaviour, techniques to shape children’s behaviour were also discussed, suggesting the parents to understand their child’s psychology, set exemplary behaviour and the most significantly spending quality time with their wards for better oneness.
After extending Diwali wishes to all Principal Mrs Neelam Mittar, urged the parents to contribute meaningfully towards mental and emotional growth of their wards and help them in grabbing the glorious triumphs in life by playing multiple roles of a friend, mentor, guide and counsellor.
