Mental Health Week Observed « 10/Oct/2020

Being proactive for improving Mental Health, under 'Manodarpan" initiative guided by Ministry of Education, Government of India to provide psychological support for mental health and emotional well-being during covid-19 outbreak in an empathetic way Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Kitchlu Nagar Ludhiana experienced Mental Health Week from Oct 4 to Oct 10. Sound mental health keeps the wheels of life move smoothly and progressively, lack of which makes it difficult to cope even with the ordinary demands of life and disturbs thinking behaviour, energy and emotions too. As covid crisis has resulted mental health epidemic because of minimization of social scenes and isolated life- Grasping strongest sense of power over life , school teachers administered special interactive sessions for meeting students' mounting mental health needs and fighting the stigma associated with it. By raising better awareness sessions making lifestyle changes, engaging in discussions, controlling negativity were mentioned as necessary steps to deal with the problems of stress and depression. Mindful meditation sessions, Poster Making and Slogan Writing competitions and interesting story times worked a lot for reducing anxiety and boosting concentration.

Develop self confidence, boost brain power and add more activities to add pleasure to life - suggested Principal Mrs Neelam Mittar to the students.
